Cheryl has been with us since late November 2016. She previously worked at Wytheville Community College as an Administrative Assistant III. Cheryl earned her Associate Degree in Administrative Support Technology at WCC. She is married to Sam, they love to travel with their son and daughter-in-law Max and Brittany. One of Cheryl's favorite bible verses is But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” ~ Matthew 19:2

Lon Francis Tobin was born in Providence, RI and grew up in Central Florida. After serving in the United States Navy, he worked as a farrier (horse shoer); insurance claims adjuster, Director of an Adult Day Center and as a family crisis interventionist and trainer.
Lon earned a BS from East Tennessee State University majoring in Speech Communications and Sociology. He served as a Licensed Local Pastor in the Holston Conference for 12 years before attending Candler School of Theology at Emory University. While there, he served Mt. Gilead UMC in Woodstock, GA as a Student Pastor. Lon received his Master of Divinity degree in 2001. Returning to Holston, Lon was ordained Elder in 2007. Since his return he has served East Pine Grove Park for sixteen years and the Johnson City Parish for the last 3 years.
Lon is married to Terry, a Systems Analyst. They have one son. Lon enjoys music; walking his dog, Sammie, and preaching. Lon particularly focuses on relating the gospel to our contemporary culture and helping folks discover how God’s grace can impact their everyday life. He is excited about what God is doing in and through the ministries of St. Paul UMC.

Hello, I’m Jessee Harrell, the new Youth Director at St. Paul! I’m excited to be at St. Paul and look forward to building a strong and thriving youth ministry. I’m from Radford, Virginia, and recently graduated from Liberty University in May. Through Liberty, I taught and observed in five schools in central Virginia, both public and private. I was a counselor and volunteer at Camp Dickenson for many years and have connections there that will last forever. All of my experiences have helped me realize how much I enjoy teaching and counseling young people. I can’t wait to get to know everyone at St. Paul and in Wythe County! Thank you for this opportunity, to God be the glory!
Director of Children Ministries-Hannah Mayo-Email- hannahgmayo@gmail.com
Hannah is the Children’s Ministries Director at St. Paul. She teaches kindergarten at Bland County Elementary School. Hannah graduated from Bluefield College in 2016 with a degree in teaching. From age 15 to 19, she was a camp counselor at Camp Laurel in Rocky Gap where she was in charge of leading groups in day camp activities as well as overnight camp activities. She has always loved children and teaching them how the Lord wants them to live. She hopes to do the same at St. Paul through fun, engaging lessons to guide and encourage the children to follow the Lord.
Director, Sanctuary Choir - Leslie Mabe - Email lmabe@wythek12.org
Leslie Mabe has been the Sancturary Choir director at St. Paul since 2002. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from Radford University and studied voice with Professor Clarity James. Leslie is also the elementary music and choir director at Spiller Elementary School. She also plays in the handbell choir and sings in the Wytheville Community College choir. She and her husband, Jerry, reside in Wytheville.
Leslie will be the Director of Hand Bell Choir as of January 1, 2020.
Director of SonLight Music- Rohna Harkless - Email -rohnaharkless@hotmail.com
Rohna is a graduate of Edinboro University of Pennysylvania with a B.A. in Music Education in 1994. She has studied at Duquesne University with an emphasis in the M.A. Music Education program. Rohna has been on staff since July 2009 and has been a member since 2010. She loves to bake, especially desserts and yeast bread. She is passionate about leading people to worship through music. She loves being in the Praise Band; they are her second family. She is also passionate about taking good care of her family, including their 3 cats and 2 dogs.

Zella Dillon is a graduate of the College of William and Mary with a major in Accounting and a minor in Music. She joined the staff ot St. Paul as the Organist on January 1, 1999. She is married to Mark, and they have two children. Graham is a second year student at the University of Virginia, and Maxwell is a sophomore at George Wythe High School.
SonLight Coordinator- Lynne Storms - Email - glstorms@gmail.com
Lynne has been a member of St. Paul since 1997 and started working part time as SonLight Worship Service Coordinator in February 2014. Lynne has received a B.S. in Mathematics and an M.A.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, both from Virginia Tech. As SonLight Coordinator, she coordinates visual and audio media, computer operations, and all worship participants for the SonLight Service. Lynne has enjoyed volunteering as the Wythe Music Initiative’s String Instruction Program Coordinator since 2005, and she also enjoys playing tennis and participating in book club. She is married to Keith, and they have three children: Andrew, Rebecah, and Abby. Email Lynne about getting involved with scripture reading, sound board, praise band, coffee preperation, or any other aspect of the SonLight Service.
Nursery Caregivers-
Whitley Yates has been with us for two years. She has an Associate of Arts & Science degree with a major in Primary Education. Currently a junior at Old Dominion University working toward a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies with a major in Elementary Education. She is our Extended Day Teacher at St. Paul's Preschool. She loves to spend free time with her family.
